Twilight

Version en français

I have used outlines from  Rose Bon Bon, Sanne, Pixel Whispers

The piano and bench are from Rose Bon Bon, the bow is from Sanne, the roses are from Pixel Whispers.  The rest is mine.

Download your supplies here.

Please do not use the same colors as I did...
choose your own.  It's much prettier to see the rainbow.

Here is what we will be making.

Please shade in the method used in the tutorial using the following images as your guide.

You can shade the frame, piano, bow and roses in any order you choose.  We will be making a tile fill for the frame at the end of the tutorial, so make sure that each element is on a new layer.

You can draw these notes...I used different colors for tutorial purposes only, but both the bars and notes should be the same color.  Mine are black.

We will make a tile to use as a pattern fill for the frame.  Open a new image 100 x 100.  Fill with white. Copy and paste the bow as a new layer.  From your roses, take one or two of the buds (I used the freehand tool set to point to point).  Add the buds as a new layer positioning them over the bow like this:

"X" out the bow layer and merge visible the rose buds.  Lower the opacity  on the to around "13".

Un "X" the bow and merge visible.  You should now have one layer consisting of the bow and rose buds.

Effects, Image effects, Seamless tiling with these settings

This is the tile we will use for the fill inside the frame.

If your frame layer is not already at the bottom, move it down and make sure the frame layer is active.  Using your magic wand, click anywhere inside the frame.  Promote selection to a new layer.  Selections/modify/expand "2".

Click on your Materials/foreground and stroke and select the tile as a pattern.

Using the paint bucket, pour the pattern into the frame.

Deselect.

Merge all layers and add your name.

Once you are happy with your results, you may submit it in gif or psd format.
